Gather with signs and noisemakers outside the federal Liberal Party Pacific caucus fundraising dinner to loudly resist Carney's "Canada Strong" agenda: fast-tracking dangerous, wasteful and misguided fossil fuel and military expansion at the public expense, including another, recently announced publicly-funded $43 billion, billion/litre per day dirty bitumen pipeline from the Alberta tar sands to the Salish Sea! We must renew our collective fight for climate justice ! Raise your voice, join the ruckus! No pipelines on a burning planet! This is also a fundraiser for the Namagoosisagagun First Nations whose entire village at Collins lake was destroyed by climate-driven wildfire this month. Event is from 5 PM - 6:30 PM.
AI Data Centre Town Hall - August 8
Join us for the inaugural town hall hosted by SFU's Institute for the Humanities in collaboration with No AI Vancouver. This town hall aims to bring together researchers and community members to discuss concerns around AI technology and data centre projects in Vancouver. We want to facilitate strategy sharing for community involvement and increasing transparency in the shaping of Canada’s AI policy and regulation. Event is from 7:30 PM - 10 PM.
